lifeguard stations

There's something about the simplicity and solitude of unmanned lifeguard stations that appeals to me. They are unique structures that blend in to their territories perfectly and almost beg to be unobtrusive. I've never been a lifeguard. But I appreciate the responsibility attached to those hired to sit and keep watch from these lonely perches.
